Dear Members of the MJS Family,

I am Captain Tony Milton, Founder and Director of Milton Junior School. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing Milton Junior School.

I envisioned a school focused on academics, co-curricular activities and community service; a school to provide every student with a challenging education, where critical thinking, strong character and an appreciation for diversity can be developed. I strongly believe that given the right environment, all children can excel be it in academics, sport or the creative arts. I know, however, that we cannot do this alone, that it takes a ‘family’ to nurture a child to his or her full potential. At Milton Junior School, our staff, students and importantly, you, come together to form a shared vision, connected by our ethos and values. I know that we are stronger together!

Our school motto ‘We lead the Leaders’ is reflected in our approach to teaching. We encourage students to take responsibility for their actions, to have the confidence to make decisions quickly and with purpose. We also stress the importance of teamwork and the need for compassion and empathy towards other students. We strive to take education and learning beyond the classroom.

I envisioned our students completing each academic year as caring, confident, independent, resilient and well-rounded individuals, something I am proud to say we have achieved and more. Our school will continue to grow year on year and I am excited to see how our students apply their skills in the years to come.
